Aromavita 101, Skin Irritation & Burns, 10 ml, Pranarom

$21.75

Indications:

It feeds, moisturizes, and regenerates the skin, and supports its recovery. Useful in case of skin irritations (sunstroke, …) or in conditions where the skin has been sensitized by any external agent.

Simply put, this mixture is stunningly efficient and fast-acting when it comes to burns, and any form of skin irritation characterized by burning sensations (insect stings, and inflammatory and/or pruritic eczema).

Before proceeding, it is important to remember that all burns, regardless of severity level, must only be treated AFTER having been cooled for approximately 10 to 20 minutes, using lukewarm warm water (20°C).

The advent of modern aromatherapy can be traced back to a burn. French chemist, René Maurice Gattefossé found himself severely burned after a lab experiment. His instincts led him to submerge his hand in the closest liquid, which happened to be pure broad-leaved Lavender oil. His recovery was rapid and turned the chemist into an ardent defender and promoter of aromatherapy.

As Gattefossé’s story illustrates, broad-leaved Lavender essential oil is a must-have when formulating a mixture aimed at skin and burns. Other key ingredients include Niaouli, an interesting radio-protective agent that limits and reduces burns resulting from radiotherapy; and Labdanum, a healing plant also known as “the aromatic scalpel.” Finally, two additional oils were used to complete this mixture: Palmarosa and Ho wood. Both possess a mild disinfectant action and were included to help keep the burn or wound in an aseptic state to accelerate healing and the regeneration of damaged skin.

This mixture can be used on first 1st and second-degree burns. It can also be diluted in a vegetable oil for regenerative effects on the skin. In such cases, we recommend using a Rosehip or St. John’s Wort based vegetable oil. These specific oils possess many components and all the restructuring virtues of traditional vegetable oils while also offering anti-inflammatory properties, which enhance the actions of these essential oils.

Used in aromatherapy to relieve minor skin irritation and minor burns.
