In the modern era, we recognize that the roots of Ashwagandha have a steroid-like effect (by acting on the adrenals and thyroid). Besides being a powerful tonic when overworked (burnout), during intense periods of stress and recovery, it promotes restful sleep and improves the ability to memorize. Circulatory tonic, stimulates cerebral circulation, digestive, antispasmodic and antioxidant. Traditionally used to enhance memory and cerebral circulation.
